For generations, incense has been part of the rhythm of life on Awaji Island. Today, this small island produces around 70% of Japan’s incense, and remains at the heart of the country’s incense-making tradition.
THE CRAFT BEHIND THE SCENT
To bring ENCENS K to life, LYDEEN worked with SEIKADO, an incense maker on Awaji Island. Each stick is made by hand, with natural sandalwood forming the base on which each scent is built.
From this collaboration came three different expressions of ENCENS K: POEMS OF LANDSCAPE, NOTES OF THE SKY and JAPAN WOOD SERIES — each approaching Japanese incense from a different point of view.
Each box holds 30 incense sticks, accompanied by a small incense holder.
